A coffee scoop

Hi again
Yet another first for me. Last week I joined the South Downs Wood Turners club and at my first meeting I saw one of these being turned so thought I'd have a go.
A coffee scoop with a 5" handle turned from Oak.

Likewise, I've never tried this. Is it made for one piece of wood?

The handle could have been a little more elegant but it is really a utility piece made to be used so that does not really matter.
Nice work for a first go at something new.

Steve well done on turning a scoop. The only thing I can see wrong is the knob on the end of the handle could have been a better shape but I like it.

Steve, nothing wrong there for a 1st .. elegant and functional, will serve it's purpose well .. you've got to use it ...
..
It's not just to make the scoop, but the jig as well and mirroring the bowl form for thickness.
Cheers David
