What's the technical term for the type of locking screw/bolt fitting often used on machinery. In particular, there's one on the tool-post of my Jet lathe, and it has just failed. These fittings usually have a set screw with a splined head, a lever which slips over it (with splines on the inside to engage with those on the screw) and a spring-loaded grub-screw to hold the whole thing together. The whole point of the fitting is that the lever allows it to be tightened or slackened by hand, and if, perchance, the lever is in the way of something when you need to tighten it, the splines and spring arrangement allow you to manoeuver the lever into a different position.
Why am I asking.....I tried asking Axminster to get me a new one, but they shunted me around and left me in an interminable phone-line-queue listening to mind-numbing music, so if I know what these things are called I can always find one on ebay!
