sycamore bowl/box with bark lid

 This is a piece i did last year 7 x 3in finished with wax and CA on the lid

I like this. Nice proportions and a simple shape, which draws the eye onto the bark on the lid. Maybe a little too much CA on the lid for my taste, it looks a little plasticky, but overall a very nice piece.

      Like the concept of this very much..... but for some reason ..... not sure what.. its not quite gelling for us.

Tony,

I like the concept of this.

The first thing that crossed my mind was natural edge, must be from green(ish) timber so I hope the lid still fits then it moves. But then I read it again and you turned it last year so it will now be dry.

So a great piece of turnery work, well done.
