Early Autumn
« on: July 07, 2016, 05:56:31 PM »
So summer has still not arrived up here in the frozen North, lol. Well, not quite frozen just very wet so far.
Here I have a small Sycamore bowl, 9" x 1 5/8", painted in Autumnal colours (acrylic) Nice and plain, hope you like it!

C & C's welcome as usual

Rgds

I'd say that you got that spot on for autumn....perhaps you northern folk are going to go straight from spring to autumn (hope not!).

These are lovely colours that suit the piece so well.

Lovely colouring Gary .
I would have made a small groove about 1/4"from the bowl and maybe another about the same from the outer edge of the rim.

Many thanks, Les, George and Ed, glad I got this one right, lol. Your comments are always appreciated, good or not so good. :)

George, I have done a small groove where you mentioned on a few previous items of similar nature, yes it does look good and can set the colours off even more, I just thought on this one I'd leave the colour uninterrupted for a change. Next one I shall put some small grooves in.

Best Regards

Gary

Lovely, the colors are warm, rich and complementary. Is it a stippled effect?

You seem to have captured an Autumn Evening Gary.... with the centre giving a very good contrast

Many thanks Tony & Di, as we don't seem to be getting much of a summer up here due to all the rain, I thought I'd just skip summer and go straight to Autumn, lol.

Best Regards
