Dragonfly

this piece has been worked on over the last few months on and off,its a Dragonfly made of Beech and Black Palmera,the body,head and legs were turned then powercarved using reciprocal and rotory carvers,the wing were sliced off a 2x2 piece of beech then scrollsawed to outer shape then rotory carved, its eighteen and a quarter inches across the wingspan and twentytwo inches tall, including the log/twig base,cheers,  Eric.

    That's one big Dragonfly Eric...... The detail on the legs and feet is excellent..... the turning .... piercing and
    finish you have achieved with such a difficult project is very good indeed  .... as a matter of interest Eric what
    size would you do a Golden Eagle  ;D ;D
