Does anyone know of a source of African blackwood with 8"x8"x2" blanks currently in stock?

the toolpost offer 2 1/2" blanks but if they have not got them in stock you might struggle.

i've a few contacts in africa but i doubt anything will be ready right now.

how many do you need?

could you not use leadwood as a substitute?

other woods should be used really seeing as it's just been added to the cites list. in years to come it will be just another wood that we used to turn...

what you making? just a bowl?
