small hollow vessel
« on: March 21, 2017, 09:28:18 AM »
This is the brother to previous post Vasculo

Acacia Shirleyii or Lancewood  approx 10cm x 7.5cm Antique oil and buffed. Lancewood is not a common timber used for turning as it moves a great deal during seasoning and opens up like a peeled banana at times
Its part of a pair for the instant gallery at Woodturning Symposium Turnfest on the Goldcoast Queensland Aust will be there this week end.

critique and comments welcome

I think that is the warmest brown I've ever seen in a wood. Best of luck in the Instant Gallery.
