CBN Grinding wheel trouble
« on: December 01, 2020, 04:28:09 PM »
I'm after some advice or help tracking down Bushings for my Grinder

I have a grinder with a 12.7mm shaft and a Tru-Grind CBN wheel with a bore of 15mm, now I can't believe I'm the only person that has had this problem.

Axminister sell bushing for larger bore's but not the 12.7 mm bore.

the wheel dimensions are 150mm x 40mm x 15mm with a bore of 15mm

I could exchange the wheel for a 150mm x 25 mm x 10mm with a bore of 12.7 but I really feel this wheel is to narrow for a 1" skew chisel and this is not a route I want to go down
So does anyone know of a supplier of the bushing needed

I haven’t read the spec but if you search for 12.7 to 15 bushing adapter on the auction site you get a few hits.

thank you for the advice I have ordered two bushings but they will not arrive until the new year so as a get me by I have ordered 15mm nylon rod so I can drill it out to 12.7mm or 1/2" just hope it will work if not I will have to go back to my white grinding wheel until the new bushings arrive
