Henry Taylor Elf
« on: July 25, 2012, 01:14:12 PM »
I am thinking of spending a few pennies on a decorating tool but don't know the best one to buy.  The Sorby texturing and spiral tool seems a lot for occasional use - the Elf seems a bit cheaper and has got a very good review from Mark Baker. Does anyone have any opinions on these or others.

Any opinion appreciated.

Many thanks

The Decorating Elf is a good buy (no I don't have one) but the additional 2 tools have more uses than just with it. For my money the Spiralling and Texturing tool is more versatile (I do have one).

Something you might consider making yourself for box lids etc (on end grain) is a Chatter Tool.
