Prison of Soul

Hi all,
a new object fom robinia, as allways smoked with ammonia. The sphare (soul) is from
maple. Total size 21x18cm. About the title: We all want to be free. Free in our decisions in
our life. But it isn't. Our decisions are depending on many terms from our surroundings.
That's symbolises the brass wires between the spare (soul) and the body (surrounding).
The only freedom I have is to turn what I like. I hope not so far from your thoughts.

you don't need to be told it's excellent, all the work you post always is.

I think it's true to say that we are always inspired by your interpretation of the title of your pieces and the way that you use and describe all the parts of the turning as a part of the whole.

Thanks for posting such a piece so close to Christmas,

As an aside we refer to colouring wood with Ammonia as fuming, not smoking.
