I have been looking at them again, There really is some delicate work there. Very nice.

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

I`ve started turning a few pens again.

Pink Ivory & Maple with aluminium inlay on a sierra kit.

Cheers.

Doug.

What glue are you using to glue Wood, Plastic and Aluminium together? I have just tried to glue in some Ebony stringing on a box with Titebond 2 and it will not hold, I can just separate it with a fingernail,  temperature is ok, glue is not too old etc. I can only guess there is too much oil in the Ebony and it is not oil which has been introduced as I have cut the strings myself.

I might be wrong and someone please correct me if I am but would epoxy be a good adhesive for mixed medium projects?
