Just started - Again
« on: December 29, 2013, 05:43:12 PM »
Evening All,

I have just been in the workshop ( B chilly it was to !) and put a piece of branchwood in the lathe and made some shavings !
This was my first go a turning following the Stroke I had last February, I have to say it wasn't easy but, I'm sure that in time my confidence will come back and I can start again.
I say start again, but I had only started in the December then had the Stroke in Feb so, lots to learn.

Please keep up with the Forum chats, as I have been looking at it most days even though I haven't contributed until now.

Best wishes to you all for 2014

Bob.  :)

Hi Bob...always good to hear that someone gets back into turning and it's good that you now feel well enough, even if that is with a little trepidation. If you've been 'lurking' on this forum, I'm sure that you've already got the message that it's a friendly place and that there's loads of help and advice available.
Looking forward to seeing pics of your endeavors.

Les

Bob,

good to see you back among us. I trust that you are feeling warmer now.

Sorry I've not been in contact with Ken, I've had a major problem with my memory since the Stroke and Ken, I think I can remember small details but ???  ???

I do have his phone number so I will try to ring him one day.

Tanks for the reminder.
Bob. :)

good to hear you feel well enough to have a go at turning again, and yes always lots to learn for all of us,no matter how experienced we are at turning, there`s always a new trick to learn that you think, why didn`t i do it that way before or use a certain  tool that way instead of this way, regards,

Eric.
