Well Ed, given it's Oak, which is not the easiest of timbers at times, you've excelled yourself with the fact of the short time frame you've been turning.
You've got a good finish on both, an high mirror gloss to the bowl, which is a really nice form, edging on an ogee flowing into the rim, only slightly.
The grain of the plate has come over well, nice chucky piece, with constant flow across the inside, difficult to judge the under side and the exact foot, but looks like an ogee again.
Keepers both and reflect back on in 7 weeks time as to how you've progressed. Be very pleased so far.
