Coronet Major saw bade removal

I am renovating a coronet major lathe and I am struggling to undo the bolt that holds the blade on the shaft, I am assuming it is a left hand thread.anyon else had this poblem ???.

My first lathe was a Coronet Major, yes it is a Left hand thread. I seem to remember there being some way to lock the spindle, or I used to use something to lock the spindle but I don't remember exactly how all this time later I'm afraid.

Assuming you're locking the spindle, have you tried penetrating oil and leaving it to soak overnight?

Thanks for the reply. ,yes I am locking the spindle off there is an hole in the spindle for this tried penetrating oil ,but still won't budge,going to try the blow lamp tomorrow just a bit of gentle heat.
