I think the time you are anticipating having to spend on this makes the price quite realistic and if the customer is happy to pay it then that will be the perceived value of it.

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

BHT I think your right, I was going to use Danish oil and then a clear wax. But have I have a smaller one on the go I might just try the CA to see what happens, I can soon take it off.
