I did make him a nice large bowl out of it and it's displayed on his dinning table.

Been there, I was left with a large stump right in the new fence line at the back of the garden of the house I then owned, must of gone out almost 3' after roots and to get down as far under the bl@@)y thing, shame was had to split it to remove in parts ..

The very base of this piece which I have of cherry and the stump in the ground formed as 3 stumps/trucks. I'd consider should I get round to turning it would need to butterfly join the 3 to stop splitting apart. Make an interesting piece ... whether time or weather as is maybe next spring now.
