Hi Woody,
I also like the Beech bowl but I am intrigued by the Bamboo I suppose it is because I think of Bamboo like garden canes :-[

Someone asked about turning bamboo a while back - well I guess that answers that.

Nicely done Woody and good to see your latest work.

Like the bowls but especially like the pens, something a bit different.

In my ignorance I would have assumed that bamboo would be brittle and tear too much but you have a great finish on them.

It is very brittle Phil the blanks are from an old chopping board and the bamboo has to be reconstituted I would say turning it x cut does require very sharp tools or it will just tear out I tried some bamboo flooring samples the other day and it just fell apart but its worth a go I got mine on the net for free

Looks good Woody. I particularly like the shape of the bottom bowl.

Graham
I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?
