5, spalted ash, 6, spalted lime, 7, spalted holly, 8, spalted sycamore

I am certain no 8 is horse chestnut ! 5 is Ash and the rest could easily be of several different woods , hard to tell from just these pics .

My best guess for 6 is sycamore ,,, are any of the woods repeated or all different ?      It is not a bit of fun it is a personal challenge     LOL !!      about 80 have viewed this thread and only me and Steve have replied so far and we are probably 2 of the youngest  as well !! what's up with the rest of you  !!!    ( I really do not want to win a piece of wood either I have too much already ! )  Terry

   Now that's a surprise Terry thought all Wood Turners could Never have enough Wood  ;D ;D ;D
   Well according to Tony anyway when he is trying to sneak yet more wood up the drive :o ;D ;D
   They are all different woods none are duplicated. And thank you for taking part.

 5,Sweet Chestnut  6,Birch  7,Olive Ash  8,Some sort of fruit-wood Apricot maybe Plum,,???

  Sorry Guys for not replying last night, back late from club and so  far its been one of those days.

  The right order is 1=Elm.. 2=beech.. 3=Brookealder..4=Hornbeam..5=Ash..6=sycamore..7=Silver Birch..8=Horse chestnut.

  Thanks again Guys for taking part its been very much appreciated. Already P.M. Terry ( the winner ) or a least I hope I have.

Thank you Tony & Di , some hard bits  to identify there ! , I am surprised how  few people even attempted to have a go , and not one of a few  RPT's on here who most would assume would have greater knowledge entering is a bit disconcerting , I do not know anything about what is required to be a RPT but is knowledge and identity of wood part of it  ?  Terry ...
