The link worked, Martin! It doesn't show up in the text you're typing, until you post it, and then it becomes a hyperlink.

Amazing material...I'm wracking my brains trying to think of uses allied to my turning, but it might well be worth just getting it in for those moments of inspiration!

I wonder if this is the same stuff I saw long ago which bounced like a ball. I remember the question was what it could be used for. Perhaps this is a spin off ie got an added molecule.

Tempted to get some and see what ideas I can come up with. I can think of some silly ones but perhaps need to focus on the practical LOL.

Turners don't make mistakes, they have design opportunities

It has no end of uses, I first came across it when a mate tried it out a few years ago he wrote about it on his blog.

Marting,

this stuff has been around for a couple of years, currently available in DIY sheds and expensive, however (and there is always a however)...

Make you own Sugru.

I can think of several things I could use this for but none of them are turning related.

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?
