Revolutions
« on: March 05, 2015, 12:21:30 PM »
I just thought I would congratulate our new editor of Revolutions, Sheila Hughes on her first issue. I have had a quick thumb through as it arrived a few minutes ago and it looks to be a very good issue with lots of helpful information.
Well done Sheila,

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

Fifthed.....
sixthed ....
This could go on for ever....Revs is certainly good enough to keep this thread going for a while yet! It reminds me of the name and number system that we had in my old grammar school, where each person's name was followed by his number in Latin. It was fine with names like Hawker, because there was only one, but with Edwards we ended up with the Latin for twenty-sixth....which was quite a mouthful and which I can't recall - never liked Latin!

Education is important, but wood turning is importanter.

Hi everyone

Thanks very much for your encouraging comments about Revolutions, I was hoping it would be well received. I will probably make a few more changes as time goes on. As Ron mentioned, some articles, news, stories or tales from any of you would really help me. After all I can only put into the newsletter what I am supplied. I look forward to meeting lots of you at the Seminar in Loughborough, please introduce yourself to me.

Thanks again for your comments, I look forward to your ongoing input.

Sheila

Having just joined the association, this is my first issue! I will let you know my thoughts when I get time to read it (currently catching up on the pile of turning literature everyone keeps giving me!)
