Mulberry Bowl
« on: May 24, 2015, 06:56:29 PM »
This Bowl is turned from some Mulberry that I acquired a few months ago and roughed out.
It is now semi dry so I have finished it with finishing oil and bagged it to let it dry slowly.
Approx 7" x 3"

Lovely George. A piece I did in mulberry changed colour as it dried, whether that will happen here I don't know. It went various shades of red but retained the graining. Lovely wood, well used (yours not mine LOL.

Thank you Pete.
I have used it before and it went a lovely warm brown colour it will be interesting to see what it is like when full dry.

I agree, the little mulberry I've had to turn (a branch only I'm sorry to say) turned darker than this, but the grain does stay visible.

George,

Post updates back to this thread every so often, I think we'd all love to see this develop.
