simple cherry bowl

A simple cherry bowl, with a little detail for interest, but nothing to detract from the wood.
currently residing in the Stark Gallery, Canterbury.

Jason,

I like the platter but the two groups of rings are a little light (not much definition to them), at least in the photograph.

I don't think burning into them would have helped (would have made them deeper), but polishing with a dark wax or something that stayed in the grooves might have helped.

A very nice bowl just enough detail not to distract from the wood grain along with the inclusion. A nice size as most of the cherry I manage to get is smaller than this

If it had a label in the center, could call it a record, looks somewhat like the start/end of such ... wonder what it wood play ..  ;D ..
