The last piece for the seminar

Here is the last piece made for the seminar.
Sycamore about 170mm diameter, textured and coloured.

The edges of the holes have been textured George, they are meant to look like that.

Very interesting John. I am going to enjoy seeing them at the seminar.

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

there is a bit missing, the big hole does not have an equivalent. Might be interesting as a third section to the left of the first two, sort of a triptych piece.

Other than that i like the concept.

or if it was in the appropriate position to the other pieces. need to be vertically up from the 2nd base. ....

LOL. I haven't Graham. I have enough to do at the moment as well as making and refining some pieces for the seminar if I can. Like you I won't feel they are good enough but they never are. None of us are ever really happy with anything we make for long.
