« on: August 10, 2015, 09:16:50 AM »
Got back last night from the seminar and want to say a massive thank you to all those in tangerine sweatshirts (also known as the committee)for the work puit in by them in organising and running this event. Had a greattime, met a good few cyber friends as well as old friends and came away with some great ideas and inspiration. Also big thanks to the demonstrators for the preperation they put in and the demos themselbves which were really great. Thank you to all involved.

Just got back; I agree with everything said above, I had a great time.

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

What a wonderful three days of turning, turners and all things turned. At the risk of repeating what has been said before, a big thank you to the committee and volunteers for their hard work, not just at Loughborough but in the many months preceding the event.

The instant gallery....what can I say but fantastic! Surely the finest collection of pieces illustrating the diversity and skills of the membership....thanks to all for sharing your truly inspiring work.

It was great to meet so many of you at the event.....for those I didn't meet, there's always 2017.

All the best and happy inspired turning.

Rick

For those who were unable to get to Loughborough, the Pablo Nemzoff and Open Gallery pieces can be seen at http://awgbseminar.co.uk/2015/Loughborough2015INDEX.htm

Cheers
