Decorating Elf Tool

   I was thinking of buying the Henry Taylor Decorating Tool has anyone got any advice please on this tool and where is the best deal available?

I am sure Nick Agar did a utube video on it.
I have one they are good for box lids best on end grain
Another of these things you will use a few times then it will disappear into the bottom of a drawer for ever.

I use one a lot for decorating goblets. They work well on pewter. Slight learning curve regarding patterns which can vary not just with the different heads but speed and angle as well. As George says they tend to work best on end grain but do work with practice on side grain as well. They also are best on a close grained wood. Oak and ash they can splinter a bit.

John something that I have used with some success is a ball cutter from a dremel type tool held in an old dremel type tool without the motor running. You can also try different shaped cutters in it which do work quite well and saves a fortune.
