Cost of Demonstrators/Revolutions
« on: September 23, 2015, 02:53:58 PM »
Just wanted to say thank to those who took the trouble to write replies to the letter regarding the cost of demonstrators in the last issue of Revolutions. And a big thank to Sheila Hughes, Editor, for publishing them. It was pleasing to read that some consider us pros value for money. :)

I was pleased to see the letters printed in Revolutions and I agree with the replies to Peters remarks also Bravo to the Editor for printing Members

reactions I consider the Professional woodturners do a great service to Clubs with their demonstrations and their willingness to pass their knowledge

on to members I can honestly say as a club Secretary I value their input (and so do our Members) in 15 years as Club Secretary we have only had 2

professional Woodturners who's demands were so over the top so we turned them down I can also say all of the others have been value for money I

also think the ones who have attended our Club (Burcot) have in the majority enjoyed the banter and friendliness I say to the doubters work out the

number of hours it takes in preparation and travelling time you will see you get value for your money if you don't tell the Demonstrator not Whine.

                                                   Regards John
