Try Wurth..... www.wurth.co.uk they stock 0.75" threaded rod, so it may well be worth asking them if it's a 16pitch thread.

If it's UNC it will be 10 tpi. The 16tpi is UNF. Their listing says it is UNC so you may be out of luck on that one.

Here's another potential supplier http://www.gwr-fasteners.co.uk/unf-threaded-bar-149-c.asp

A handy thing to know...I wasn't aware of that when I had my old Coronet lathe and i wanted to fabricate some faceplates.

3/4 x 16 Nuts are easy to get hold of. Any local Fixings supplier  should have them.

They should also be able to provide machine bolts to suit but is the threaded part of that is not long enough, should also be able to help you find threaded bar as well.

eh... local Fixings supplier does not include B&Q, Homebase or similar.

Talking of face plates.... We're we?....... Anyone know of a machinist/Fabricator who would be able to make up some to suit the VB36 style 3 bolt fitting. Doesn't look that difficult if you have the relevant machining skills and metal lathe?

I have a metal lathe, and I am sure I could make you some if you could supply a drawing. However, I don't think I am very close to you (Stourbridge, Dudley, near Birmingham), and I am pretty sure you'd be able to find a local guy to do it for you if you search some of the model engineering forums. There's plenty of folks out there with metal lathes.

Do you actually need threaded rod or would  round bar, 3/4 diameter do and you could  then use a 3/4 UNF die to put as much thread on each end as you need?

What length do you need?

Do you want steel, brass, aluminium or what?

Perhaps it would  help if you explained exactly what you hope to achieve
