I like Paint your own, Snowmen, Christmas trees and Icicles.

Fast to turn, from scraps and small bit's of wood. Then just sand to finish. A small screw eye or look of wire to hang them from and they are done.

I tell people that they are something for the children to paint on a rainy day, and as memories as the years go by.

I also them that the best paints for them are acrylics, but if they prime the surface first even water based paints can be used.

As Brian says, also ready made tree decorations, small stocking filler items such as tops, key rings, preferably a bit quirky and humorus. (spelt wrongly I know LOL). Small craft fairs are best withh pocket money things under £20 with one or two bigger items to attract attention.

I don't do craft fairs but Jane (the better half) loves going to them and she is always buying candles so how about snowman candles like these. P.S. they are not mine.

Hi, I've just finished turning a dozen of these Angels to give to friends, and family as Christmas pressies. The bodies are obviously quick and easy, but for me the lattice effect on the wings and halos was a first. A mixture of 'air turning' and off centre. 'Turned' out OK though I think.

That's very cute. I am generally not fond of little angles and snowmen, but these do look rather nice.

I did a couple of low-key ones. I seems to me that this tail quickly wags the dog. I haven't got the time (despite being retired) but here are a couple of my ideas: Most of my buyers were children and they expected to get something with metal not paper money

pine snowmen with sapele hats and Dylon liquid noses & buttons

A Triarch of angels in horse chestnut and pine on a yew base

That's enough
good luck
Nick

Like the angels Nick, very different but attractive to the usual ones.
