Myford ml8 cabinet

Recently restarted. Logged on here after chatting to Oliver's wood. Looking for a myford cabinet door for ml8? Also looking for sources of cheap practice wood needed for upskilling over next while - south of Maidstone. Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Can't help with the cabinet door but for cheap wood think tree surgeons, gardens boot sales (perhaps not this time f the year for those) and even charity shops. Unless you want to start up with big things almost any wood can be used to make something.

Thanks for the reply. Have started with some oak firewood. Getting up the gumption to ask around. Before too long will be heaping up! Need a bit of sharpening on tools that came with lathe!

you can raid my pile of timber if you like, i offer a whole boot load for only £50 or you can put the backseat down and that's £150.

there are woods like cherry, yew, burr ash, robinia, ekki, laburnum, beech, plum and probably quite a few others.

i am in maidenhead if you are interested.
