A few Burr Chestnut clocks
10" x 9" with a 85mm clock face
6" x 16" with a 85mm clock face
And the daddy of them 11" x 19" with a 130mm clock face
All comments welcome

Hi John
Clocks are not my favourite subject, but you have made a nice use of otherwise difficult to use, pieces of burr. Did you use a sled or counterbalance of some kind?

My, you've had time on your hands ... I like the daddy, they're some nice time pieces, excellent work, I'm sure someone will work out how many pen blanks it would have been ..

Thanks for the comments.
No counter balance on the first 2 I could turn them fast enough without problems. On the daddy one I used a friends lathe which is an adapted Adcock milling machine, plenty of power and weight so no vibration.

Great clocks I like all three no favorite one out of them. All the burrs I have got always have gnarly old bark still attached, how do you clean them up or were these purchased like that

HI Derek
I get mine straight from the saw mill with the bark still on, just got back from a 3 day show and I am a bit worn out so will answer your question in full later which I have recovered a bit.
