Like the colours, but I am not sure about the shape. For me, with this kind of outside shape (which I do like), the inside has to follow it, otherwise it looks unbalanced. Might have been better to draw the purple bit down and then have a much shallower centre bowl.

I don't think the Green and purples compliment each other for me they seem to clash.
From the top it looks like a nice shape and proportions for a wide rimmed bowl but the bottom just does not work.
A simple flowing bowl for the bottom would look much nicer.

I like the colouring but have to agree that the angular shape of the underside detracts for me.

I have to agree too. I love the colours and the top profile, but the base for me is too deep. I would have preferred a shallower flowing curve for the underside. Malcolm.

Love the colour combo and the beaded/dished rim but not keen on the underside, just doesn't fit with the top for me.

Thanks all for your comments I see and take on board your comments about the shape, there will be some more playing with this type of work in the future.

All the best

Enough has been said about the colours and the form, so I shan't repeat any of it, but I will say that I like the texture in the colour, which looks as though the wet colour has been delicately scratched to give the swirls. Nice one for that, Ed.

Ed,

I'm really a fan of Jo Sonja Iridescent colours, but I think you've made two mistakes.

I think you've used your fingers to create the sworlled effect, the lines Les refers to are (I think) your fingerprints, a large artists brush would have been far better.

The second (again I think) is you've mixed the green with the gold. I've yet to see the gold actually look good, it's the weakest of the colours and has drawn the green down far to pale.

Having said that, I think the design with the beads delineating the coloured areas is effective.

...Oh who am I kidding, follow me, I know a shortcut!

Thanks again for the feedback

Bryan

You are correct the paint was applied by finger, but there was no green used in real life the gold looks much golder
