Okay so this is the end piece of the lime blank I did my previous two posts with. Again, ebonised first then acrylic paint and lacquered. Slightly smaller than the previous two at 6.75" x 4.5".

Like where you are going with your colouring though not something I am normally keen on. being picky, if you rounded the bottom edge off a little so it looked as if it were floating it would make a huge difference. Take the piece from really great to brilliant.

I really like these Gary but Pete is right if you tuck the base under a bit it will improve them 100%

I support everything George and Pete have said on this. I absolutely love the colouring on this piece. I thought the previous two were good, but this one really stands out.

I'm really taken with the apparent complexity of the paint effect. I don't doubt it was a fairly fast effect to create but it's look belies that.
