It didn't look like the glue joints were up to much either.

A good lesson for turning the lathe to its slowest setting after you finish a job.

At least he had the common sense to satand to ome side. It looked like he started it and just wound it up

I think Andy knocked the nail on the head. If you look closely you can see that the glue lines, which SHOULD be stronger than the wood, have lost interest in procedings at every joint. That's where matey's problems lie, the lathe only supplied the centrifugals.
