Parana Pine?

I was going to suggest Douglas Fir or Pitch Pine for the same reasons as Roger G. They are used as piles etc in harbours and as such can withstand water.

Also I'm under the impression that no Pine is Toxic, but stand to be corrected.

If you do decide to use Douglas Fir, it may be worth your while giving Richardsons Woodyard at North Walsham (Edingthorpe actually).I have bought the same from there and found them really good and they will cut to whatever you want.
