Spalted Beech Bowl

Started the day making a vase but it split, so I found this blank at the back of the wood store which was nice and dry. Very pleased with the spalting on this one so kept the shape simple to let it show. 6 3/4" X 2"

Thank you, yes there were a couple of soft areas so a good couple of coats of sander sealer and few trips to the grinder

Derek,

that's a cracker of a bowl. I especially like the ring foot. it's light but gives it enough lift to elevate it from the surface its sat on.
