restoring a lathe

This was a pile of rust.bought a month ago took me about sixty hours to get it to this .originally green I have done it in My Ford lathe grey

Just picked another one up from Buxton last night to start again what a drive . Took the wife😕set off at four o'clock got home at half nine. She said this is fun 😴

Hi Max - You have done a nice job there, I did quite enjoy using the ML8 before I got the Killinger. It was my 1st sort of proper lathe, there was another Guy on the forum that we haven't heard of for a long time that restored his ML8 to a very high standard and he was in Chepstow. This is my ML8, it's in bits on the bench at the side of the workshop just in case I ever want to use it again.  --  Julian

I see these old lathes on eBay and sometimes wonder, what they've made in their life.

Thanks to you, this one has another opportunity to be a useful tool again, enjoy it.
