Hollow form and acrylics
« on: March 12, 2017, 06:46:35 PM »
My latest Hollow Form coloured with Acrylics. Made from Idigbo, which is not a wood I'd use again with colours, to grainy so I lost count of the coats of lacquer I put on.
7" x 3.75" overall, finial is ebonised Beech.
C & C's welcome as usual.

Very nice Gary.
I don't like Idigbo as it is very dusty but can have some very nice grain.

Hi Gary....I just viewed the coloured trio and decided not to comment before I gave some thought to what I wanted to say....then I saw this and knew immediately thaat this was the one for me. The colour is subtle and works so well with the black of the finial. The form is a joy to see and it appears to just float over the surface that it sits on. Spot on and easily my favourite.

Gary,

Les has said it all quite eloquently, I'll just add that I think that is a perfectly formed finial.
