Round & Brown

Couple of bits that I've got done a few of you might have seen the Burr Oak on FB

Burr Oak hollow form 230mm x 140mm

Burr Elm 210mm x 150mm

Both finished with Danish oil and then  buffed

C&C's Welcome as always

It's the latter of the two (the elm) that works better for me. The form looks really relaxed and comfortable; much more so than the oak. Both nice pieces of timber with a good finish.

I'm also for the Elm vessel, purely on the shape. But the oak vessel is all about the grain patterns, it will be much admired and loved.

best of luck in Wisley.

How did it go overall at Wisley? Any better than the BCC event last year?

Saw the top one in the flesh today and it looks better than the photo. There is so much going on in the grain it needs to be seen to understand.
