There's a huge range of inserts and exerts available for precisely this purpose. Ed Oliver (one of our members) stocks these so it might be worth getting in  touch with him....here's a link to his web site...https://www.oliverswoodturning.co.uk/

Hi Dave

I think for what you need you will need to have something made.

Contact Ian Parkin a member here he will make you an adaptor send him a message Ianparkin

All the best

Hi Dave

I found this on eBay - try a search using   "VIPER2#IN 1'' x 8 tpi to 3/4'' x 16tpi Insert"

Hope this helps

There's also a listing from PSI (more expensive), try a search on
"PSI Woodworking LA341018 Headstock Spindle Adapter (3/4-Inch x 10tpi to 1-Inch x 8 tpi chuck)"

But to confirm, I'd give Charnwood a call to ensure its suitable and a "fits all"

It's seems that getting an adaptor made is the only safe option, might just sell the chuck as it was given to me.
Thanks again for you comments.
