Bug Cap
« on: August 22, 2018, 11:53:56 AM »
I know it's a little late now as the summer is pretty well over but during the long hot weeks that we have had over the last month or so I have been enjoying the sport at my local Athletic Club in Chepstow however while out on the field enjoying a pint of the real stuff we have been plagued by bugs going for a swim in the glasses. Following a visit by Andrew Hall earlier on in the year I was inspired to make this little Bug Cap after watching him make a medieval Lidded Goblet. I have since made about a dozen of these to keep the little blighters out and they have been very successful, there is a little ridge on the base to stop the Cap sliding off the glass. I wonder if anyone else has made anything similar ?

That's a bug-cap....what size are the bugs down in Crow Valley, and who taught them to war caps?

What a great idea, I nearly swallowed a wasp earlier this month that had dropped into my tin of cider, must do something similar for cans myself. Nice to see something a little off the wall.

Good enough reason to start.

I have a 'Shavings Cap' then.

It keeps the shavings from landing in my coffee in the workshop.
