Latest from Mo
« on: October 22, 2018, 12:07:03 PM »
Fish seem popular so this is another one with Koi. It is sycamore and is 14 1/2" (370mm) diameter. Finished with microcrystalline polish. Done some close ups of the detail this time.
C&C welcome as always

Lovely, delicate work. How have you got the orange and grey colour on the fish?

Thank you. My wife, Mo does the colouring. She blends different calligraphy inks to get the different shades. Don't ask me any more than that it's all magic to me LOL.

Very nice indeed. Some people just have the knack of getting the mix of colours just right and Mo is one of them.

I think this one might be snapped up by a Koi breeder/collector.

Smashing work, Mo well done again.

Another great collaboration between you two. The bowl is a great shape for presenting pyro work and Mo's artistic skills capture the movement of  the carp so well.

Think people might be a bit put out if they caught you fishing for their koi LOL.
