Sewing Stand
« on: January 08, 2019, 08:45:25 PM »
It's been a bit quite since I finished my Christmas orders, so I've had time to make a few things I've been thinking about.

This is a sewing stand, holds 5 thread bobbins, scissors, thimble and has a pin-cushion. Made of English Oak and stands about 7" high.

C&C as you will and thanks for looking.

Done a few of these in my time but quite different in design. Interesting how we all approach the same thing in different ways.

A crisp piece of spindle work there Bryan. I have a pocket flap on my smock that needs a few stitches, I'll send it own to you!

Education is important, but wood turning is importanter.

Thank you gents.

This is one of the challenges I set myself, seeing what can be turned from a 1" board of wood. Just to show you don't need big lumps of wood to have fun making something.
