Unknown wood

can you get a clear endgrain shot?

it focussed on the background not the wood.

I'll try. Have to cut another piece as it has been in storage for years and is covered in muck.

If not Catalpa, then might be Iroko? Might explain the lack of odour...

Definitely not iroko. I have turned quite a lot of that and it's totally different.
