(1/3) > >>

Hi Everybody

I´m stuck. The lug plate has vanished from my very old RP chuck. Anybody any ideas where I can find, buy, make one. Even a pattern/tracing would help.

I hope you are all safe and sane in these crazy Covid Times

Many thanks

David

Go no then what's a lug plate  ???

David in Spain:
Hola Woodspinner

It´s a flat metal  ring with 3 lugs on it that sort of positions the 3 jaws. I had to find a manual to find out what it is called. Trying to het hold of one is proving difficult. RP no, D and M No.

I won´t give up.

Un saludo

David

Twisted Trees:
Hi David

3 Jaws indicates a metalwork jig, you may have more luck on an engineering forum. Most woodturners switched over to 4 jaws a long time back.

I don’t think Record Power have ever made metalwork chucks? It’s just a rather odd design by modern standards.
