Is there a chainsaw safety course?

Hi Dancie, Glad to hear that you are trying to find a proper training course. You could try "Sam Stinchcombe Chainsaw Training" he is in Usk, S. Wales which is about 15 minutes over the Severn Bridge, he trains a lot of the local Woodland trust volunteers in the area. Or Westonbirt Arboretum in Tetbury used to run them, I am not sure if they still do may be worth a call. Julian

Ask any local tree surgeon, all commercial chainsaw operators need to do a safety course / certificate so they will know where they send their staff

Dancie:

There is a very big difference between professional chainsaw training and what they call domestic user.
