SOLD - Poolewood Euro 3000 Woodturning Lathe
Mark Hancock:
British made Poolewood Euro 3000 believed to be the first one produced. A heavy duty 3 horse power swivel headstock lathe. Direct drive (no belts) with speed range 0 to 3000 rpm controlled with an IMO Jaguar invertor, slow and fast ramp options, forward and reverse and a foot operated switch ideal for hollow forms. Spindle thread 1 ½ x 6 tpi with MT2 in headstock and tailstock.
Sorry to see this dream lathe go but it won't fit in my suitcase :)

I can only imagine how good this one is , Good capacity , Swivel head , Makes deep hollowing a doddle

You also reminded me there is a large captured hollowing rig I need to dig out for sale.

I remember using this fantastic Lathe on one of the AWGB training days at your workshop and the huge lump of Cherry you sorted out for me to turn a LARGE hollow form what a great day I have happy memories I am sure you will sell this
