The time has finally arrived, I purchased my first Lathe, took a trip to Simon Hope and got the lot,
Stratos FU-230 Lathe
Nova Chuck to start with
Grinder thing with CBN wheel
Wolverine Jig
Profiler
Grub Handle starter set of Tools
8mm Carbide straight tool
Bowl jaws
2mt drill chuck

Should see me for a bit to get started.
Great service and very friendly.

  Bad choice of words there Kiwi !!  Read the the 3rd post down  .He finally did it too !!!! Now get some hands on instruction and you will be well away .I have been turning since 1966 and still love it

I'm going to get a JSP power cap but they are so expensive, so I'll let the wallet cool down a bit. Thanks

Good choice of lathe, you will not be disappointed. I have had a Fu 230 for 6yrs now without encountering any issues. I bought the extended bed and quick release to be able to turn large diameter pieces in outboard configuration.
