Wood Hardener

Has anyone tried this to improve the crispness of detailed work on some of the softer timbers?
I’m wondering if for example it could be used before cutting threads instead of using super glue. Ideally extra care would need to be taken to avoid breathing in any wood dust during turning etc. This is one product on the market I was thinking of.

I have used similar, or maybe the same brand it was a long time ago! it works but better results can be obtained by burning that blank and selecting another!

The Bowler Hatted Turner:
Bill I don't think the wood hardener is any better than superglue. I would say though that let the superglue soak in and don't use an accelerator with it.

I have seen elsewhere that others have dabbled with wood hardener. One issue mentioned though is that it can cause discolouration on light coloured timber. When I get chance I’ll give some a try, I’m expecting it will soak in better than super glue and is somewhat less expensive as well.
