Identify a section of wood

Hello can you help me to identify what type of wood i have in this piece (see photo)

most likely a bit of laburnum.

pic of the endgrain and bark would help.

Hi, Thanks for responded, its defiantly not laburnum, its at least 3 x as heavy and the grain is very different, but thanks for trying to ID.

Hopefully, photos of the bark and end grain will help.

Steve's right...it's laburnum. Don't be fooled by the apparent weight of such a small piece. Laburnum can vary in density withing the structure of the tree and (like any timber) according to its MC. The colour of the heartwood, the colour of the sapwood, the colour of the bark, the grain pattern and the bark texture all say laburnum.
