Fresh of the lathe these thingamajigs have proved to be quite popular one in Holly 12" x 2 1/2" and one in African Blackwood 15" x 4" logs from turnerscabin.co.uk

Woody, it's a you call thing bob what's the my ah work can't Hummm ...   ;D ...  Ok two very nicely detailed pieces, a bit on the heavy side or is that the flash, but they work, I like the African Blackwood it looks like the base is on another wood base.

Woody, yep, that's definitely two something-or-others, just sort-of-like the two you made previously.

I also prefer the Blackwood one, the stem detail is attractive but like David says, still a little heavy looking. However really slender pieces are fragile, which is why I turn my stems separate from the cup section, so don't worry too much about it, especially if ypur customers like them as they are.

Well done.

That looks like a finely matched pair of Thing-a-ma-jig's.

The slightly more slender stems certainly helps, and a good shiny finish - well done.

What finish do you you on them by the way?

Oh Woody,  the practice makes perfect, definitely for want of a better word, an as Bryan would put it NAILED IT for sure, I'm liking these in AB the stem just looks to flow into the base, two beautys and wonderful finish, just the basics work well.

Hi Woody,
nicely turned and I too prefer the slightly slimmer stem.(I wouldn't mind being slightly slimmer myself!)
Nicely finished aswell (the thingummygigs not me....although now I think about it............)
Well done Woody ,keep up the good work.
